Salt used for chlorinated pools.
Salt is converted with process of electrolysis to sodium and chlorine gas. The chlorine gas is a replacement for the calcium hypochloride (HTH) normally added to pools.
Initial treatment:
- 10kg Salt per 50000L, thereafter maintain salt level around 4000ppm.
- Test salt levels every 4 to 6 months using Aquachek Salt test strips
