Illuminate your street with confidence using the Simonsvlei Solar Street Light. The efficient and bright design, equipped with a motion-sensor and battery-control-technology, ensures optimal functionality and long-lasting power. Easy remote control allows for various lighting modes.

The product is perfect as a backup-solution in areas where street lights are not working. It is not nearly as bright as municipal street lights, but it provides good lighting for an area of about 10m x 8m when installed on a 4 meter pole.

Specification:

  • Auto day/night switch means the light turns on at dusk and off at dawn
  • Remote control with various settings
  • Lithium-ion battery built-in with over 1200+ cycles
  • 400 Lumen constant for 3 hours with 3000 lumens motion-sensitive light when fully charged, stepping down to 80 lumens constant for the remainder of the night
  • Colour Temperature: 4000K
  • Pole mounting bracket
  • IP65 rated waterproof housing

Positioning of the light:

It is essential that no shade from nearby trees or buildings fall on the solar panel that charges the light during daytime.

To find the correct spot to place the light, use the pole (without the light) and move around during the day to find the best spot by checking the top-end of the pole.

Essential maintenance to ensure optimal performance and extend the product's life:

  • The position of the light should be re-evaluated monthly if not daily for the first year to see how seasons effect the light's installed position.
  • Worst case scenario: Move or adjust its position during the extremes of winter (April to August) and summer to ensure the solar light's energy collector is exposed to the maximum amount of sunlight at all times during the day.

Recommended installation height:

  • Between 3,8 to 5 meters

What you need:

  • Solar Light
  • Remote control
  • A mounting pole (not supplied)
