Top coats is used in the final coat of paint to seal and protect the underlying fibreglass mat from water.
- Remember to add 1% to 3% per volume of catalyst to activate hardening
- Colours may vary from batch to batch (order to order)
IMPORTANT:
- CATALYST HARDENER is not included, but required. Top Coat is a synthetic compound which begins in a highly viscous state and hardens only when catalyst hardener is added.

- Thus, mix 10ml catalyst in hot weather to 30ml in cold weather per 1L Top Coat to activate hardening process.

The easiest colour to work with is white top coat and that is what we will recommend from a practical point of view. White top coat do not change colour or fade as all other colours do.
Warning:
Dark or bright colours will fade over time.
To reduce the effect of fading and stains, ensure that the water's pH (7.2 - 7.6) and Total Alkalinity (80 - 120ppm) is kept within the ideal range.

As Top Coat is an epoxy paint it is the most durable type of pool paint, with an average lifespan of 6-8 years. Being an epoxy paint it must be mixed with 1% to 3% of catalyst to activate hardening. Epoxy paints are the best pool paint on the market, and the only paint suitable for inground fibreglass pools.
Variety of Colours
Top Coat pool paints are available in a variety of colours. With standard colours like White, SkyBlue, and Clear Top Coat. Additionally, they have their non-standard colours which include Charcoal, Deep Blue, Cosmos Pink, Red, Yellow, Jacaranda-Purple, and more. Therefore, you can make your pool look ordinary or as artistic as you like with this range of pool paint.
It is worth noting that dark or bright colours will fade over time. Ensuring your water pH is between 7.2-7.6, and total alkalinity is 80-120ppm, can reduce the effect of fading. Alternatively, white top coat pool paint does not change colour or fade as other colours do. This is why a white top coat is an easy and practical colour to work with. Top Coat pool paint is available in a variety of sizes. There are 25kg buckets available for the White, SkyBlue, and Charcoal pool paint. Additionally, there are 5kg buckets available for these and all other colour variations, including clear. These ensure you will have enough paint to cover your fibreglass pool floor and walls.
